Not a great deal has previously been known about this rather obscure but very collectable Bryant & May brand. The fascination of the boxes lies in their very unusual shapes and the colourful decoration.

So keen is the competition for an attractive box in good condition that in 2008 prices in excess of £100 can be obtained.

There are 2 main sections within this book. Section One relates to The Cardboard Harlequin Boxes, produced in the late 1920s and through the 1930s and everything related to this time period. Section Two covers the Plastic Harlequin Boxes produced in the 1950s and again everything else that relates to these.

We would like to add to our knowledge and would welcome additional information from anyone able to supply it. At the time of going to print we have endeavoured to provide a complete a record as possible of this brand.
